Wye Oak (formerly Monarch) sign to Merge Records
I knew i wasn’t taking crazy pills when I LOVED Monarch’s 2007 self-released album, If Children, as now it seems Merge Records has signed the Baltimore-based band (who have since changed their name to Wye Oak). The same Merge Records that is home to the likes of: The Arcade Fire, Spoon, M. Ward, The Broken West, Camera Obscura, Destroyer, among others.
