NPR’s Best Music of 2008
NPR has a bunch of “Best Of” lists up on their site for their various shows ranging from “Best Jazz Music of 08″ to “Best of All Songs Considered”. Most of the time these lists are interesting because of the bands you haven’t heard of this year or didn’t give much of a chance, then you somehow have to play catchup, listen to 10 albums in two days, before you make your own list in case you missed out on something. Thanks NPR for showing me a crapload of music I haven’t listened to yet.

25 Best Closing Tracks
Jams bio has a good list and group of songs for their 25 best closing tracks. I was immediately intrigued when it began with Dylan’s “Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands”, an amazing song that could go on for another 20 minutes, imo, and I would never get sick of it. Overall a well put together list with good descriptions, it even includes “Lover’s Day” from the new TVOTR, which i shard to disagree with. How could they miss “Only In Dreams”, one of the best Weezer songs, or I am sure there are many more that I can’t think of off the top of my head right now.
