Tortoise will be releasing their first  lp in 6 years,  although inbetween they put out a covers album w/ Bonnie Prince Billy and a rare material box set. The albums name is Beacons of Ancestorship, a very proggy medieval sounding title that fits well with the couple songs I have posted below, the first two tracks off the new album.  Tortoise is always a fun and interesting affair, never knowing what to expect and excellent music for the avant-instrumental lover.   The album is out June 23rd and you can pre-order it here.
