I rarely get a chance to post hip-hop on the blog, mainly because there isn’t much out there now that I like, but I also tend to not research the genre as much for good new albums coming out.  Evil Nine has been the highlight of my year so far, and  I think I am most excited about the possibility of a new Deltron album this year, but now here is another album that might grab my attention, Mos Def’s The Ecstatic due out june 9th.  This was due out back around November of last year but got shelved, and a tracks have been sprinkling out ever since. I’m no Mos Def aficionado, I don’t think I have ever bought an album of his, but there is an incredibly catchy song with some great jazz background music. The other two songs I have heard from this album are equally as good and this sounds like it is going to be an exceptional album.
