New Flaming Lips “Sliver Trembling Hands”

You’ll be getting plenty of new Flaming Lips soon enough with a double album coming up, Embryonic. This is going to be a pretty sprawling album, hopefully not too much, but the Flaming Lips always seem to know how to reign it in even when they do go off the deep end, read: it’s never unlistenable (although I’ve never been able to get 4 stereo systems together to play Zaireeka correctly). This new song “Silver Trembling Hands” is sounding really good on first listen.. take a listen for yourself:

  1. odd you should say that. I’m having a Zaireeka listening party at my house this weekend. This will be the 4th time I’ve been able to listen to it as Coyne intended.

    It really has to be heard to be believed.

    So get your friends together before the format of CD no longer exists. Yeah, you probably have a few years yet, but the longer you wait, the less lifetime you have left to do it again!
