Baltimore band Beach House just put a new song called “Used to Be” up online. It’s pretty good, with the very familiar lazy/hazy vocals over top a simple, almost carousel sounding melody. Initially it sounds like a xylophone, but as the song goes on sounds more like an organ.

Really good song, has a very carefree vibe from a musical standpoint, but with lyrics like “even if it’s simple from the start, we will give the pieces of the heart, and when there is nothing left to pretend, we will know it’s coming to an end” it’s anything but. I love songs with that kind of juxtaposition.
