Memory Cassette’s Dayve Hawk is Most Mysterious
With this post some of you might think we are becoming some sort of indie music superficial, but this was too funny not to post. Been loving this Memory Cassette LP, it’s short but every song is great and I imagine it will be on repeat for the rest of the year and possibly show up on some end of the year lists. But aside from the album being so good, I was sent this funny yearbook pic of Dayve Hawk (from an undisclosed source) where he was voted ‘Most Mysterious’ in High School. You gotta love Kim Wassel standing next to him, sweet cutout Motley Crue shirt. Next thing you know we might be posting pics of Thom Yorke in a speedo on the beach.

Rumor has it, his name is really spelled David Hawk and he started writing it Dayve in 1994 after reading that Kurt Cobain spelled his name Kurdt in the liner notes. Mayonaisse-alotta-people-on-this blog.
