Flaming Lips: free show on DC Mall Sunday
FREE All Day Earth Day Celebration Starts at Noon [SUNDAY]!
Earth Day Network & Green Apple Festival have announced that The Flaming Lips will headline Earth Day On The National Mall in Washington DC on Sunday, April 19, 2009. The free event on the National Mall will be emceed by actor Chevy Chase and feature an eclectic performance line-up with moe., Los Lobos, DJ Spooky, the Joy of Motion Dance Center’s teen hip hop company, Urban Impact. Additionally, Kathleen Rogers, President of Earth Day Network, actor Matthew Modine, Philippe Cousteau, Gene Karpinksi of the League of Conservation Voters, Dr. Amy Vedder – Senior Vice President, Wilderness Society and Rep. Edward Markey, U.S. House
