Coachella Artist: VNV Nation
VNV Nation (Victory, Not Vengeance) are “Futurepop” group out of Hamburg. What is Futurepop? They define it as a cross between synthpop, trance and electronic body music, which is basically trance music with vocals. Think Paul Oakenfold mixed with The Faint mixed with Depeche Mode. VNV Nation’s breakthrough album was Empires releases in 1999. Empires showcased a harsh and dark sound which they have since departed from on more albums like Futureperfect and Matter + Form. Since the release of Empires, there have been many imitations of the Futurepop sound. Here is a list of Futurepop artists and Here is what you need to do to become a Futurepop artist :
