Coachella Artist: Satellite Party

Perry Ferrell loves his festivals and he loves starting new bands these days. I can’t keep up with him, he is the new Mike Patton. Satellite Party is Perry Farrel’s new project and it has a bunch of collaborators as well including Fergie of the Black Eyes Peas (Glamorous?), Hybrid, Flea among others. Interestingly, there is also a song on their album that is supposedly a “lost song” from Jim Morrison of the doors (Yay!).

But it gets even better since this, supposedly, is not just a band and, according to Farrell, the band is a movement and collaboration amongst musicians, artists and environmental activists called The Solutionists to, obviously, come up with “solutions for the world” (can you sense my skepticism). I am assuming the Solutionists also live in a secret headquarters buried in the middle of a volcano and they will fly out to Coachella in their invisible airplane, that is, unless commissioner Gordon flashes his Solutionists signal and they have more important duties to attend to other than Rock and Roll. Despite all the hoopla, I might still try to catch them at Coachella, it is Perry Farrell and Nuno Bettencourt (you know? The guitarist from Extreme).

Anyway, just read this funny article posted by The Brooklyn Vegan to learn more.
