Coachella Artist: Pharoahe Monch

Pharoahe Monch, founding member of Organized Konfusion with Prince poetry, is a soulful rapper out of Queens New York who has had many under-the-radar hits like “Stray Bullets”, “Simon Says” and “Hypnotical Gasses” that have seen little commercial success. His songs have been featured in movies including Charlies Angels, Training Day, Next Friday, Oz and Boiler Room. He has also collaborated with De La Soul, J Dilla, Linkin Park, Nate Dogg and Macy Gray amongst others. He is known for his quick but smooth multi-syllabic rapping style that often times incorporates influences from soul and gospel music.

  1. Desire is an interesting album. I am so sorry that it took so long to produce and publish. I spoke to Monch and he told me that he came really close to be singed to Shady records. I’m not lying! check it out at musicblog.ugo.com.

    Anyways, I’m interested to see how this album does in the billboard.
