Bowie to resurrect Ziggy Stardust for Coachella?
According to gigwise, there is a good chance that might just happen:
David Bowie is in talks to headline the 2009 Coachella festival in Los Angeles, according to reports.
Organizers are said to have launched a new bid to attract the singer after discussions for Bowie to headline last year’s event fell through.
It’s claimed that he has been asked to perform his 1972 album, ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’, in its entirety at the festival.
“Coachella tried to book Bowie last year and he refused, so they got Prince to headline instead,” a source told the Daily Stars newspaper.
“But there’s a very strong chance they will be able to persuade him this year.”
That would be ridiculous. Refresher of the first time he did it:
It is rumored that the official lineup will come out tomorrow. A week later than it has the past two years.
