Bizzarro News of the Day: ColdAhaMewPlay
Spinner is reporting on a very random band formation, members of Coldplay, A-Ha, and Mew are forming a band called Apparatjik prounounced “App-aaahhh-rt-tij-jjjjjjjj-ick” or “If we pick a norwegian (russian?) word for a band name maybe we will sound cool”.
[Colplay] Bassist Guy Berrynam has teamed with the Scandinavian group’s keyboardist Magne Furuholmen and their producer Martin Terefe, along with Mew frontman Jonas Bjerre, to form a new project known as Apparatjik.
Very strange shit, although you’d think the music would be a bit weirder..

You will find it has a very similar melody to..well…pretty much every song Chris Martin has ever sung, even though he isn’t in the band. Next thing you know the Tears for Fears triangle player will form a band with the synth player from the Dave Mathews Band and the smoke machine director from Fugazi.
