Band to Watch: Fredrik
This September we featured Fredrik’s song “Alina’s Place” in our 32nd Mobtown mix, and after hearing a couple more of the Swedish bands songs, they are firmly affixed to our “bands to watch” list. Every song i have heard from them is really good with interesting, mellow instruments underneath the easy-on-the-ears vocals of Fredrik (which bring to mind the smooth vocals of Iron & Wine).
This is a side project from the band The LK, who we wrote about back in March, but i have to say i am enjoying this quite a bit more. Their debut album Na Na Ni comes out October 28th, which they will support with a tour in the US (with a stop at DC9 and Metro Gallery) in November.
