I can’t think of a better band to listen to in the spring or  lazy days of summer than Au Revoir Simone.  Luckily, their next album, Still Night, Still Light, is coming out next tuesday (may 19th), perfect timing.  The band has even put together some sweet incentives to getting the album:  The day it’s released it will cost yah a whopping $0, if you purchase the album in the first two weeks you get their entire back catalog for free (sweet self-promotion idea), and for the first month the album won’t be more than $7.98 to buy.

Au Revoir Simone – All Or Nothing (MP3)

This song is typical Au Revoir Simone, which isn’t to say it’s bad…more that it’s exactly what i like about the band:  easy flowing vocals over a light foot tapping rythm; smooth and un-jolting.  Makes me wish i was lying in some giant field of grass taking in the nice weather.

This song, if you couldn’t tell by the title, is a darker affair but still projects that light-hearted aesthetic.
