Artists to Watch: Theresa Andersson
I recently got a copy of Theresa Anderson’s upcoming album Hummingbird, Go!, and have been rather enjoying it. Some songs remind me of the likes of Feist and Lykke Li, but that’s not a bad thing. It’s nothing face melting, but what it lacks in rock it makes up for in spades with cute, smooth melodies. It should be noted that she recorded the entire album inside of her kitchen, with her playing every instrument.
She lives in New Orleans by way of Sweden (seriously…is there something in the water up there?) and has performed with Sigur Ros and Peter, Bjorn, and John; the album itself was produced by Tobias Froberg, who produced Peter’s (of PB&J) solo album. Those Swede’s are an incestuous bunch, but I can’t say I blame them, it sounds like quite a scene up north.

This is a good album, i agree. Na Na Na is good but i personally liked her ‘Birds fly away’ video available on her myspace ( http://www.myspace.com/theresaanderssonmusic ) I like the way she layers her own voice.
