The Knocks: New Single “Dancing With The DJ”

The Knocks previously put out the catchy as hell single “Make It Better”, now the sunshine pop outfit comes out with an equally head-bop inducing single titled appropriately “Dancing With The DJ”.  The song sounds like a mix of Daft Punk electro with old-school The Go! Team vocals.  It’s pretty poppy, but i dare you to not tap your foot to this one.

Pixies: New Website, Live 2004 Coachella Set Download

The pixies have a new website, and will be releasing a new live set every week. This week they start off with their triumphant return to the world at coachella 2004. I can attest that this was a great show.

New Go! Team “T.O.R.N.A.D.O”

The Go! Team!’s Thunder, Lightning, Strike and Proof of Youth are albums that frequently come back into my radar and never seem to disappointing. Sure, it can be frustrating trying to remember where to put the exclamation point when typing their name, but this is just a minor setback when it comes to this band.

The Go! Team have a new album set to be released at the end of January 2011 titled Rolling Blackouts. Although their albums tend to be ones that conjure images of summer months, it will still be a nice escape for the cold doldrums that will soon be upon us.

This track is pretty agressive and short-lived, but has a ton of color and liveliness as The Go! Team are known for. Now I am just trying to figure out what “T.O.R.N.A.D.O” stands for, my first guess would be Trans-Orafice Radiation Napkin Association Department of Oranges, which I am about 86% positive is the right answer.

Richie Havens “Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands”

Had never heard this version of one of my favorite Dylan songs. This is a little more upbeat, but just as sweet.
